Job Description:

Our Marketing team is expanding. Our channels include, paid, organic, social, CRM and brand partnerships. We are seeking a Content specials to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be working on our TroutRoutes Director of Marketing to further customer acquisition through SEO content development.

  • Work with the TroutRoutes Founder and the Director of Marketing to prioritize and develop content to align with marketing goals
  • Research, write, and publish content on the site to targeted SEO strategies, while maintaining a level of engaging content to further the brand
  • Provide support to marketing efforts and asset creation, such as emails and  social posts
  • Develop content to brand standards, and company values
  • Execute additional marketing efforts as needed

We are seeking the following skillsets (only some needed):

  • Experience SEMrush or similar platforms
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with Email platforms such as Mailchimp or Klayvio
  • Experience in WordPress
  • Knowledge of best SEO and SEM practices
  • Interest in the outdoors, and specifically fly fishing or willing to learn
  • Comfort in working from content standards documents, and documented customer personas
  • Desire to learn and understand how customers interact with the business

Other considerations:

  • This is a full-time salaried position with a strong preference for a candidates to join our Minneapolis/St. Paul team. Relocation assistance possible on case-by-case basis.
  • Work-style likely to be a flexible hybrid model with 3 days in-office / week
  • We do not offer benefits such as health insurance, 401K match programs at this time
  • Other perks: You’ll work at TroutRoutes, duh! Your focus is to spend your days marketing trout anglers. You’ll be spending your time understanding that use case with real anglers, and seeing the result of your work in near-real-time. Quarterly and Monthly company outings with other employees and anglers included. Attendance at trade shows and other industry events. Occasional travel.
