Public Access and Conservation is core to what TroutRoutes believes in. Meet Our Team
Founder / CEO
Zachary Pope is an avid angler, engineer and entrepreneur. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Management of Technology, both from the University of Minnesota. He has held various engineering and management roles, primarily in the medical device space in Minnesota, with his most recent role prior to TroutRoutes as Director of Engineering.
Zachary started Trout Insights, Inc. in 2017, with a broad goal of leveraging technology to improve the fishing experience for anglers. Today, Zachary is acting full-time CEO of TroutRoutes, focusing on business operations, marketing, and most extensively on the product management and expansion into new regions. Zachary is also passionate about conservation of cold water fisheries and the outdoor environment, and is actively involved with Trout Unlimited. He continues to serve on the board of his local chapter of Trout Unlimited in the Twin Cities.
Brent Wilson is an accomplished finance professional with banking and private equity experience. His career focus has been on acquisition, growth, and sale of companies in the consumer and retail space. Brent has a bachelors degree from DePaul University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
Director of Marketing and Brand
Tanner Stofferahn is an angler, fly fishing guide and an accomplished marketing and brand professional. Tanner brings a unique blend of fly fishing and marketing experience to the TroutRoutes team. Tanner is passionate about conservation and making fly fishing more accessible through access to information.
Marketing / Content
Jake Dahlke is a dedicated outdoorsmen with a strong passion for trout fishing, hunting, and conservation. Jake has held various roles in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management and holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
